
The Soldiers season came to an end after beating Lansing Christian 68-53 Tuesday night. This season ended on a high note as they look forward to the post season. However Lansing Christian wanted to make sure the Soldiers didn’t over look them. The Pilgrims played with a lot of energy and desire to upset the Soldiers.
The game got off to a hot shooting start from both sides which led to only a 2 point lead for the Soldiers. The Soldiers dialed up their defensive pressure in the second half and found more offensive advantages by getting into the paint frequently against the Pilgrims zone defense. GCS expanded their lead going into the fourth quarter and took control of the game.
They were led by Trenton Boike with 20 points 6 rebounds 10 assists and Tyler Chapman with 18 points 7 rebounds. Boston Boike had a career high of 14 points going 6-6 from the field. Soldiers finish the season 16-4 overall.
