Morrice has owned these head to head battles over the years.  In fact until the Soldiers beat Morrice in last years district game, GCS had never beaten them.  So this year brought a new challenge of winning at their place for the first time and a challenge it was!  Morrice jumped out to an early lead and they looked to be the more aggressive team from the start.  But the Soldiers fought their way back into the game only being down 10-12 after the first quarter. The second quarter the lady Soldiers flipped the momentum by locking down on defense and holding Morrice to just 2 points and went into half time leading 20-12. The second half continued this game of back and forth. Morrice went on a third quarter scoring spree hitting five threes and outscored the Soldiers 8-18 and took the lead 28-32 with only the fourth remaining. Ava Boike lead the way by scoring 9 of her game high 29 points and closing the game out.  The Soldiers got their win at Morrice, 42-40.

Soldiers were lead by Ava Boike with 29 points, 11 rebounds, 6 steals and 2 blocks.  Other notable contributions were Haven Chapman with 10 rebounds, Brooklyn Lange with 5 steals, Chloe Carpenter with 6 assists. They are now 4-3 overall.
