The Soldiers faced another GAC opponent, the Atherton Wolverines, for a second time this season. They last played on January 14th with the Soldiers, winning 73-54. The boys opened that game taking a 20-0 lead, with a lead as big as 30 points in the second half. However this time it was Atherton that jumped out to a 8-2 lead on Senior Night for the Soldiers. But the Soldiers were able to take back the control of the game, and go into halftime up 40-20. They looked to finish the Wolverines off in the third quarter, pushing the lead to 25 right out the gate, but had about 5-6 bad possessions in a row, resulting in Atherton points cutting the lead enough to give Atherton some life. After an altercation that resulted in multiple Atherton fans being kicked out by the referees, the Soldiers settled down, and finished the game off, winning 75-59. Moving them to 8-8 on the season and 7-5 in conference. The Soldiers were led by Lewis Jones with 21 points and 15 rebounds, Pierce Carpenter with 17 points, Trenton Boike with 12 points, and Andrew Brewer with 10. Next they face Bendle, Away on Thursday, 2/13.
