The Girls Varsity Basketball had a game on Monday at Mt. Morris.  They were coming into the game having played on Friday and Saturday before as well.  So the chance of having some dead legs was high.  That was the case as the game got started.  The Soldiers looked a bit sluggish and missed some easy opportunities for buckets early in the game but they began to separate from Mt. Morris and built a good lead heading into halftime.  The Soldiers never looked back in the second half and built the lead to 40 early. The final score was 72-42.

“We wanted to get out and play fast, create turnovers and score in transition, but we thought there might be some tired girls since we have played 3 games in 4 days due to some rescheduling.  After a slow start they dug deep and found another gear to take control of the game. Really proud of their effort.” Coach Jake Boike

The Lady Soldiers were led by Ava Boike with 29 points 11 redounds and Haven Chapman with 13 points 12 rebounds. Brooklyn Lange also chipped in 8 points and Liz Green added 7 points.
