The Soldiers came into this game knowing that it was going to be a battle from start to finish as both teams are fighting to stay near the top of the GAC, but what they didn’t expect was getting off to such a slow start finding themselves in the hole 25-9 after first quarter. However they never rolled over and fought their way back into the game outscoring Bendle 18-12 in the second quarter and going into half time down 10 points. Genesee Christian dug in defensively and in the third and held them to just 6 points going into the fourth quarter with a 44-43 lead. With just eight minutes left to play the Soldiers were back into an even up game. This time it would be the Soldiers pouring on the offense keeping the lead throughout the fourth quarter. The Soldiers beat Bendle 66-60.
They were led by Trenton Boike with 25 points and 5 assist. Tyler Chapman also finished with 16 points and 7 rebounds. The Soldiers are 3-1 in the GAC and 5-1 overall.
