The Soldiers and Hamady met for the first time this season in a GAC matchup.  Their last few matchups have all been very close games and this one would be no different.  The Soldiers got off to a hot start out scoring the Hawks 20-17 in the first led by Trenton Boike with 12 in the first. Hamady turned up their defense in the second quarter holding the soldiers to 9 second quarter points and would take the lead into halftime 32-29. But the Soldiers would return the favor in the third quarter outscoring the hawks 21-9 led by 10 points from Cole Lange and taking a 50-41 lead.  “Our defense held them to 9 points in the third and that made the difference to give us the lead.” said Coach Chapman.  The fourth quarter was physical and tough from each team but in the end the Soldiers would hold on for the win 70-62, “I thought the guys showed great mental toughness to go on the road and come back from being down to a team as good as Hamady.” said Coach Chapman.

Trenton Boike finished with a game high 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.  Tyler Chapman finished with 18 points and 4 assists.  Cole Lange chipped in 14 points.
