On Tuesday night, the Soldiers played another GAC game, against Atherton. With the help of some great team defense, the boys jumped out to a 20-0 lead, taking all of the momentum of the game. While Atherton played with more fight after the first quarter, it was clear that the Soldiers were in control. At the half, the score was 37-17. To start the third quarter, the Soldiers pushed the lead to nearly thirty points. The final score was 73-54, GCS. Their record is 5-3 on the season. The Soldiers were led by Lewis Jones with 21 points and nine rebounds, Pierce Carpenter with 20 points and nine rebounds, and Trenton Boike with 19 points (5 three-pointers). Next game will be versus Bendle at home on 1/17, at 7 pm.
