The Varsity Boys team started their season off with a battle at home against Lansing Christian, but came away with a win, 59-51. The Soldiers led the whole game. While the first half was close, the Soldiers pushed the lead to 15 in the second half, and it looked as if they would run away with it. But the Pilgrims fought their way back into the game. The lead was cut to three before Andrew Brewer answered with a clutch three-pointer. The Soldiers were led by Lewis Jones with 24, Pierce Carpenter with 11, Andrew Brewer with 11 and Trenton Boike with nine. Next up, they play at Hamady Hawks on Tuesday, December 17th.
